about

About this CD & Monaghan Arts Network
Monaghan Arts Network is a voluntary community group whose aims include creating an awareness of all genres of Arts in County Monaghan and beyond, the promotion of Monaghan artists, and the creation of an audience for those art forms. Since March 2014, Monaghan Arts Network has run a monthly showcase event in The Market House Monaghan, or alternatively in the Rehearsal Room of the New Garage Theatre, Monaghan. Each showcase has featured 4 to 5 performances or presentations which have included singer-songwriters, dancers, poets, film makers, comedians, community arts groups and many more. This CD has captured a year of the music and comedy acts from March 2014 to February 2015. The profits from sales of this CD will go towards the production of a book of the literary and visual artists who have showcased to date, and so continue the cycle of arts promotion in the county. We hope you will enjoy each of the tracks and that this CD will continue to support us in our endeavours.
